I just recently found out an acquaintance was accepted into the (DAR) Daughters of the American Revolution. I myself have been in the process of applying to the (SAR) Sons of the American Revolution for sometime and know it to be a lengthy and tedious process. I found two  videos on YouTube given by Crista Cowan of Ancestry that shows what all it takes to make a successful application. -Enjoy

You can do this and get it Accomplished! The SAR Library here in Louisville is invaluable and so is the DAR Library in DC. Check your Ancestors Libraries and Societies! I was accepted into the DAR and I at first took the wrong approach to Lineage Societies. I wasn’t going out of my usual scope of research. In the end all the Lessons learned will take me further into other areas of my research. Great Post!
