Hospital Birth Card

Baby Birth Card

Baby Birth Card

Some records you know you have and some appear out of nowhere. this is the case of my own hospital birth record. I hadn’t known my mother had kept this record and was amazed with the condition and what information was on it. these were the cards filled out right after the birth of a child and placed in the card holder of the hospital bassinett. In fact on my card I hadn’t even been named yet! It lists my sex, surname, dated of birth, time of birth, and even the room number!. Can’t get much of an earlier record of birth than that! I challenge anyone who reads this blog entry to share their hospital birth record! I even wonder how rare is this to have?  I personally can not recall ever coming across someone elses over the years of my research.
